Vibrant woman Heritage Day has a way of asking more of us than we admit. There's the cooking, the hosting, the travelling to go and see family, the emotional weight of being "on" for everyone from the moment the fire is lit. Somewhere between dishing up for the fourth time and keeping the peace between two uncles who disagree about everything, a lot of South African women quietly run on empty.
